Khloe Kardashian, big sister Kim, little brother Rob & mom Kris were spotted on the sidelines of the Clippers v. Mavericks game in LA this past Wednesday. While the Kardashian fam seemed more concerned with the on-court action (Khloe’s husband is Mavericks’ forward, Lamar Odom), we were on high-alert for a Kardashian-luxury watch sighting… and we weren’t disappointed when we spotted Khloe wearing this oversized gold Rolex President. As for the final score of the game? We’re not sure, but by our count, we’d say this was another win for Team Kardashian.
Women are wearing big, fun watches these days. Michele was one of the first watchmakers to take advantage of this trend. They offer high quality watches in bold, fun designs. They also make it easy to change the straps on the watches in case women want to change up their look – black one day, red the next.
One of our favorite Michele watches is the Deco Diamond. I know that we have a lot of favorites, but I actually bought this model for a female family member, so I am speaking with my wallet!
This model is both fun and elegant. Sure, it’s on the large size, but the diamonds and mother of pearl dial add sophistication.
The model we have in stock retails for $1,645. Our model is pre-owned in excellent condition with box, open papers, and a brand new strap and is available for almost HALF OFF retail!
What was a surprise was Cartier’s explanation of why the line is doing so well. Here is the explanation given by Chief Executive Officer Bernard Fornas: “Bigger watches are losing a bit of ground today. When you are in crisis periods you show off less and you have shapes that are more discreet and more ergonomic. The feel-guilty factor is very important.” Read the entire article here.
I understand that he’s the boss and has access to plenty of consumer research, but I disagree with him. The Ballon Bleu is doing well for two main reasons:
1. It looks amazing.
2. Celebrities are wearing it, giving it more exposure.
If his explanation is true, why did Rolex recently start making larger Datejust models? And why is Audemars Piguet doing so well?
Check out all of the celebs wearing the Ballon Bleu.
We know what you’re thinking – Montblanc is a luxury pen company. Well, that was true until 1997. In 1997 the company entered the watch game. Shortly thereafter they introduced the Timewalker series. We think that they have a hit on their hands. The line is both elegant and sporty.
Check out the Montblanc Timewalker Chronograph below. It is model number 09668. Some people refer to this model a 7069 – you’ll notice that number on the caseback. However, according to Montblanc, that number is “a technical reference number that refers to the movement of your time writing device. It is not identical with the model number…The number 7069 is used by Montblanc internally to identify the clockwork.”
This particular model is 43mm and has a gorgeous exhibition back. It retails for $5,300. It is available on eRelyx for just about half of that!!!
Leonardo DiCaprio looked as handsome as ever at Sunday evening’s Golden Globe awards. DiCaprio has been a prominent spokesperson for Tag Heuer for the last several years- so it was no surprise when the dapper actor turned it out on the red carpet in, none other, than a Tag Heuer Carrera 16 Calibre Day-Date in stainless steel & dressed up by the black leather strap.
But, there was one key thing missing from Leo’s arm on the red carpet this year…
On top of being an absolute bombshell, Heatherton also has excellent taste in watches- (check out pics of her sporting a gold Rolex Daytona here)- and think the two of them would make an absolutely gorgeous watch-wearing duo!
I LOVE this watch. The Tag Heuer Monaco Chronograph has been a favorite of mine for a number of years. I love the blue dial. I love the square case. And I love the blue leather strap. This watch just screams for attention.
This particular model is the CW2113-0. It has a Calibre 17 automatic movement (an ETA-derived movement for the watch nuts out there). Tag Heuer recently introduced an updated version of this watch. The newest Tag Heuer Monaco Chronograph (CAW2111) has a Calibre 12 movement with an exhibition back. The new model also has a MUCH larger price tag – $5,600!!
The model that we have at eRelyx is available for $2,925. The watch is essentially brand new – never been owned by a consumer. However, since it has been tried on several times, we feel more comfortable selling it as “like new.” Either way, it’s in fantastic condition.
Panerai is known for its bold, simple designs. They are also known for large watches – most Panerai watches you see are 44-45mm. They are also known for black dials and leather and rubber straps.
What if you love the look of Panerai watches, but like smaller watches with a stainless steel bracelet and a white dial? Well then this Panerai Luminor Marina PAM00051 is just for you. It’s 40mm (still a decent size) with a stainless steel bracelet and a white dial. We just got in a pre-owned model with box and papers. List price on the watch is $8,600, but this one is available for the amazing price of $5,590!!
… and that’s why he is a man after our own hearts. George Clooney epitomizes style- and knows the secret to looking good is as simple as what’s on your arm.
The two accessories that would make any outfit hot? Well, a gorgeous woman on one arm (cue: Stacy Keibler), and a hot luxury watch on the other, of course. And you better believe Clooney rarely steps-out without both.
Case-in-point, we spotted this Omega DeVille peeking out from under Clooney’s suit-sleeve while posing for photographers with girlfriend-model Stacy Keibler, at last night’s 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards.
Justin Bieber is on fire! Sure, Bieber has his critics, but there’s no denying that he’s ultra-popular and ultra-talented. I try to explain this to my friends, but they think I’m strange.
What do you get when you pair his talent with his boyish good looks? About a billion fans. Literally. And yes, I’m using the word “literally” correctly here. He probably has a billion fans (they like him in China and India, right? That will help from a numbers perspective).
He’s also self-less. Why else would he rock a Casio G Shock watch? He knows that a billion kids around the world are going to want to wear what he’s wearing. So, he picked something that is relatively affordable. He could easily rock an Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Rolex, or any other watch.
I bet young kids are dying for a colored Casio G Shock. Just like I had to have multiple Swatch watches.
I also bet that Louis Vuitton is totally sold out of those jean jackets (okay, maybe not).
Check out Justin in his red Casio G Shock at CES in Vegas.
Yesterday we blogged about one of our favorite Breitling watches – the Breitling Navitimer World. It’s a big, imposing watch. If you’re looking for something a bit less conspicuous, the standard Navitimer model is a good option. It’s under 42mm, as opposed to the 46mm case on the Navitimer World.
You may also be interested in a less expensive Breitling – both of the Navitimer models are over $6,000 at retail. In that case, the Breitling Colt II Chronograph is a great option. Because it has a quartz movement, the retail price is $3,180. However, it still has the sporty, bold Breitling look without sacrificing quality.
