Tag Heuer recently announced that it dropped Tiger Woods as one of its brand ambassadors. The move is not a huge surprise, but the timing is. Tag Heuer stood by Tiger during a difficult couple of years – and now that Tiger seems be be re-focused on golf, they dropped him. Perhaps it was because of the negative press around Tiger. Perhaps it was because Tiger was no longer playing like Tiger. I’m sure Tag was paying Tiger as if he was the best golfer in the world, winning every other tournament. Or, perhaps it’s just karma. Tiger’s former caddy Steve Williams stuck by Tiger during the toughest times of Tiger’s life only to be dumped recently.
Well, now Tiger knows how Steve Williams feels.
It will be interesting to see if Tag Heuer approaches Adam Scott, the golfer for whom Steve Williams is now caddying. Scott is currently on the Rolex payroll, but Tag Heuer might be able to get him to jump ship. They did so with Tiger several years ago. Money talks.

All of our followers know that we’re huge fans of the IWC Portuguese Chronograph line of watches. It’s the right mix of dressy and sporty. It’s a chronograph but manages to look simple. However, with a retail price of $7,400, it’s not exactly cheap.
The Eterna Soleure Moonphase Chronograph is a fantastic alternative. It looks very similar to the IWC Portuguese Chronograph – plus you get day-date and moonphase complications. That’s great bang for the buck!!
